Need more battery in Android phone ? By 6 way.
How long a phone should lasts once its battery has been charged fully? Different people will give a different answer to this question. The upper ceiling of the battery life in a modern smartphone, even is many wish for it to be true, would be something like what the old Nokias used to provide. Once charged, they would last days. But that is not possible with smartphone. A smartphone does so many things that it just can't last for days, unless you are only using it to make calls. On the other spectrum, we all can agree that a smartphone that is constantly plugged to the charger is no good. In fact, if you are charging your phone more than twice in a day, it is safe to say that it has a poor battery life.
The ideal battery of smartphone nowadays is somewhere in between these two extremes. And most smartphones do manage to meet this ideal line. But just in case, it is not enough for you the user, there are ways to prolong the battery life of your phone. These steps, ideally, shouldn't be required. But in case you need more battery life you can try them.
Switch off GPS
On an Android phone, or even on an iPhone, the GPS, or "Location" as it is identified in the phone, is one of the biggest battery hogs. If you want more battery from your phone, turning it off is a good idea. When you need it again, for example while using a phone-based taxi app like Ola or Uber, you can manually turn it on. Just turning off the GPS, especially on an Android phone, will net you something like 2-3 hours of more battery life.
Use Wi-Fi
Another big battery guzzler in the phone is the telecom network, particular in India where the network is always poor and the phone has to work extra hard to keep the signals nice and proper. The solution? Use Wi-Fi whenever you can. This means when you are at your home or office, ensure that your phone automatically switches to Wi-Fi from 3G or 4G.
Keep the screen on auto
It is tempting to switch of the auto brightness in a phone. On some occasions, the phone's screen is just too dull and you wish for more brightness. On these occasions, even if you manually turn the brightness up, don't forget to put it back on the auto once you have finished reading that big article. The screen is one component that uses the maximum amount of battery. If you keep it on the manual brightness mode, it's battery use will shoot up exponentially.
Check for Rogue apps
On Android, as well as in the iPhones, on occasions you may end up with poor battery life in the phone due to a rogue app. This could be a poorly-coded app or it could be just temporary glitch in some app. If you are seeing abnormal battery drain in your phone go to Settings > Battery and then see the list of apps using battery. Of these some heavy battery users like Screen, Android OS etc are fairly normal. But if you see other apps using more than 10 per cent battery life, there could be some problem with that app. One way to fix this is by restarting the phone. This would get rid of the temporary issues. If it doesn't, you can opt to disable that particular app by going to Settings > Apps.
Tame Facebook
Studies after studies have shown that Facebook app loves to sip battery. Considering it is also one of the most highly used app, Facebook app can have a significant effect on the battery life of a phone. Now, ideally you will not like to tinker with Facebook, especially if you love the service. But if you value the battery life more, you can try turning off notifications in the Facebook app. You can also uninstall it and use Facebook Lite, which is less feature-rich but is frugal with data and battery use. Finally, if you can, you can also try uninstalling or the disabling the app.
Use battery saver mode (in emergency)
Almost all phones nowadays come with the battery saver mode. When applied, some of these modes reduce the phone's performance and switch off some non-critical functionality. A few go even beyond that, apply a monochrome -- black and white user interface .

new features of Instagram
NEW YORK: With the roll-out of a new update, Facebook-owned photo sharing app Instagram will now notify your friends when you take a screenshot of their Direct Messages (DM) -- just like its rival Snapchat, a media report said.
However, the notifications are only for the new disappearing message feature, Mashable reported.
To use the new feature, a user can swipe right into the camera to take a photo or video, then tap the arrow to send it privately.
A user can choose a group or create one in just a few taps - and can also send to individual friends at the same time.
According to Instagram's statement, "Unlike other messages in Direct, these photos and videos disappear from your friends' inboxes after they have seen them. And you will see if they replayed it or took a screenshot."
Also, you can take a screenshot of your feed and Instagram will pop a new window down saying, "You can share this post with your friends" -- offering a user a few ways to officially share the image if you tap the button.

SELFIE LOVER 4 ATTRACTIVE APPS
1.
Prisma (iOS and Android)
To add awesome effects to a selfie, there is no better app than Prisma. The photo-editing app was first launched on iOS and quickly became a rage because of its hand sketch-like effects. Users can simply click an image from their device's front or rear cameras and choose the effects they want. Users get a total of 36 filters. The intensity of the filter can be controlled, and unlike most photo-editing apps, which simply overlap the filter effect on the existing image, Prisma app creates the complete image from ground-up using its AI technology.
2.
Frontback (iOS and Android)
At times, we want to click a selfie and not miss the amazing landscape in front. Frontback is a great selfie app that gives you that option. It clicks images simultaneously from the front and rear camera, and then places one shot over the other for the final image. One can capture amazing selfies without missing the surroundings with the app.
3.
YouCam Perfect (iOS and Android)
We know how important a selfie is to most people. We end up spending a good amount of time trying to get the perfect shot. After that if one finds unwanted elements in the background, then all that effort goes to waste. That's where the YouCam Perfect app comes in. With a few clicks the users can quickly remove background elements. Moreover, the app automatically improves the clicked selfie as soon as the shutter release button is clicked.
4.
Candy Camera (Android only)
A good effect can make your selfie stand out of the crowd. Candy Camera is an app that has over 100 picture effects and filters. Beauty functions, skin smoothening effects, ability to add stickers and more is available on this app. Compatible with all An droid models this app does not use lot of phone resources. It can run smoothly on smartphones with just 1GB or RAM. Moreover, if you have a low powered front camera you need not worry. VIvo V5 MORE IMPRESSIONS
DESIGN-White and Gold coloured Vivo V5 has a simple yet elegant design. The front is dominated by a 5.5-inch HD display, below which lies a capacitive home button. There's also a fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button. Above the display is an earpiece, the aforementioned 20MP selfie camera with LED flash and the proximity sensor.
The rear panel of the Vivo V5 houses a 3,000mAh battery underneath. The panel has Vivo branding in the centre, while the primary camera and LED flash are in the top left corner. The volume rocker and power buttons are placed on the right, while the SIM tray is on the left. The speaker grille, USB charging/data port and 3.5mm audio jack are placed at the bottom.
As we said before, the Vivo V5 has a design that's simple yet sophisticated. The phone has a really good in-hand feel as well.
*DISPLAY-has a 5.5-inch HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution. During our limited time with the smartphone, we found the Vivo V5's display to be quite promising. Colours are vibrant and viewing angles are pretty good too
*CAMERA-V5 is a camera-centric phone, we were really looking forward to see how good it is when it comes to taking photos. And even though we used it for just a little while, we'll say are quite happy with the camera quality.
The pictures clicked with the 13MP primary camera turned out to be really good. Colours are accurate and there is no distortion in images. The image quality doesn't deteriorate even when zooming in.
As for the highlight 20MP selfie-camera, it left us quite impressed. We clicked quite a few selfies and the Vivo V5 didn't disappoint.
There are various beauty features in the camera app which can be used to make selfies look better.
SOFTWARE&HARDWARE-1.5 GHz octa-core CPU, the Vivo V5 comes with 4GB of RAM and offers 32GB of internal storage. There's also a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The V5 comes with a hybrid SIM tray, so users will have to choose between dual-SIM functionality and expandable storage. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, skinned with the company's own Funtouch OS UI layer.
Speaking about the software, it does have certain handy tweaks. The app drawer is integrated with the home screen and there are a few pre-installed apps like Facebook, WhatsApp and WPS Office.
The quick settings do not appear on the notification shade, as they do on most Android smartphones. Instead, they appear when the finger is placed on the home button and scrolled up.

PAYTM AFTER BANNED NOTE 500&1000 IN INDIA
Cashing in on the currency demonetisation move announced by the Indian government, online payments and e-commerce company Paytm has managed to hit a gross merchandise value (GMV) run rate of $5 billion as it sees continuous growth in daily transactions.
The Noida-based company had clocked GMV worth $3 billion last year. But the latest spike in its current run rate, if maintained, would take it past the $5-billion mark by end of the year. GMV run rate is used by e-commerce players and online marketplaces to help forecast annual sales based on current performance. GMV is the value of overall goods sold online without factoring discounts and cancellations for pure-play e-commerce companies.
While players like Flipkart and Amazon clock GMV based on sale of goods, Paytm's gross sales largely account for online transactions made on its platform. The company also has an e-commerce marketplace business but the major chunk — estimated at 65-70% — of its GMV is generated by the payments vertical. Paytm typically generates 2-2.5 million transactions a day, but that zoomed to 7 million over the weekend, the company said, emboldened by the cash restrictions which have led to people to extensively use digital payments.
The Vijay Shekhar Sharma-founded Paytm has seen 5 million new users joining its platform, while it added a million 'saved cards' on its e-wallet within the first two days of the government announcing the demonetisation move. According to the company, the proportion of offline transactions has gone up from 15% six months back to 65% now as people use digital wallets to pay offline more often.
The company has added 1.5 lakh new merchants since demonetisation, taking the total network of merchants to 10 lakh, Paytm said. It has also started initiatives such as Nearby, which gives a user real-time update of merchants close by and banks where they can load money into their e-wallets. Paytm has partnered with ICICI Bank and Axis Bank for this initiative.
